Glen S. Shearer

Glen S. Shearer is a partner in Furniss Shearer & Leineweber. He received his bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in 1972 from the University of Oregon. In 1978, he received his law degree from Gonzaga University.

Glen is a member of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, the Multnomah County Bar Association, the Oregon State Bar, and the U.S. District Court Federal Bar.

Prior to joining the law firm in 1979, Glen worked with the U.S. Attorneys office in Spokane, Washington, and also in private practice. Since joining the firm, he has specialized in Oregon Workers’ Compensation and all aspects of insurance law, including opinions and litigation of first party coverage issues, personal injury and property damage actions. Glen also serves the needs of business clients and provides estate planning to family clients. He is further experienced in appellate practice, having argued cases both before the Oregon Court of Appeals and the Oregon Supreme Court.

Glen and his former wife, Peggy Padden, are very involved in community action, devoting tireless hours raising money and awareness to find a cure for Fanconi Anemia, a cancer-prone, genetic disease that affects children and young adults.
